Jerald Harris Fastest on Fast Friday
Jerald Harris went to the lead with a few laps to go winning the Fast Friday event after loosing the first race to rain a month ago. Heats kicked off the night as Matt Mullins and Daren Bolac topped those. Matt Mullins and Chris Ware paced the field the green with Mullins out first and Ware right behind as Harris tried the real high line and it worked making it to second as Darren Bolac and Billy Hubbard were also coming to the front on the quick smooth oval. Mullins stayed strong as Harris was all over him lap after lap with now the Bollac, Hubbard duo making to third and fourth. As the laps neared twenty Harris seemed to find a better groove and while Mullins was looked to be in the clear Harris used the new groove after closing and shot by to the lead. Hubbard was trying to sweep low to get to third, but Bolac stayed to his line and Hubbard couldn’t complete the pass lap after lap. Mullins stayed close but ran out of laps to mount a challenge as Jerald Harris charged under the checkered flag first. At the line it was Jerald Harris, Matt Mullins, Daren Bolac, Billy Hubbard, Bill Rice, Chris Ware, Caleb Harris, Arron Leach, Bill Mullis and Chris Humblet. Next week is back to Langley Speedway in Hampton, Virginia for the Annual 4th of July weekend race on Saturday night July 2nd.
