Dylan Shatzer wins at Dixieland Speedway
Fast Friday Race 1 June 5th 2020 Dylan Shatzer Sails to Win Dylan Shatzer’s first trip to the tidewater area ended up being smooth sailing but much faster all the way to the win. Heat races kicked off the night with Shatzer winning heat one and Jake McLain heat two. After a redraw for the top four starting spots the feature was lined up with McLain and Shatzer on the front row. With the green flag waving Shatzer was out first with McLain and Bronzie Lawson fighting for second right away. The racetrack was fast with Shatzer showing smooth was the way to go as he kept pulling away lap after lap with Lawson getting to second and set his sights on the front. Tom Humphries was making his way to the front as the laps wore on getting to third by lap fifteen. Shatzer was just keeping the car fast lap after lap as he kept his distance with Lawson now in the clutches of Humphries. After a quick yellow to push a stalled car from the track Shatzer took off and Lawson had to worry Humphries more than the streaking Shatzer but laps would run out with Dylan Shatzer getting to the waving checkered first. At the line it was Dylan Shatzer, Bronzie Lawson, Tom Humphries, Mike Leraas, Mike Keeton, Jake McLain, Chris Ware, Matt Mullins, Bill Rice and Daren Bolac. We will keep everybody up date as quickly as possible about the next race whether it is next Saturday June 13th at Natural Bridge, Va. or the week after at Hagerstown Speedway on Saturday night June 20th which is defiantly on as they are open and racing.
