Daren Bolac Says Color Me Gone
Dixieland Speedway hosted the First Fast Friday event of the year after an earlier rain out and Daren Bolac was the fastest at his home town track. A clear warm day was on tap for the good field of sprinters and heats were up first as Tony Harris took heat one and Jake McLain took heat two. Bill Rice and Chris Ware paced to green with Chris Ware getting the run off the top and Rice down low. Chris Ware was steady and strong up top keeping the momentum up but he was no match for Bolac that was good on the bottom as well and in to the lead he went. Tom Humphries got by Rice and was shadowing Ware lap after lap but behind them the top ten was changing every corner of every lap. Jerald Harris, CJ Faison, Tony Harris, Jake McLain, Jeff Taylor and Randy Sterling were all in a pack and somebody would either slip up or get a run and it was just a great race. Bolac stayed strong up front and Humphries got by Chris Ware leaving him to deal with CJ Faison. Bolac was just not going to be caught as the checkered flag was waving for a popular win with Tom Humphries second and CJ Faison coming home third. At the line it was Darin Bolac, Tom Humphries, CJ Faison, Chris Ware, Jerald Harris, Tony Harris, Jake McLain, Jeff Taylor, Randy Sterling, Craig Pellegrini, Ben McCall, Glenn Worrell, Neil Sandridge, Bill Rice, Reid Mitchell and Charlie Ware. Next week it’s a first time visit to Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Md. On Saturday night June 16th.
