Make your plans now! RaceSaver Nationals℠ Entries are flying in!

It’s just over a month away from the 5th Annual Racesaver Nationals℠. Teams and fans from all over the country have made their plans, scheduled their vacation days and are double-checking their lists to make sure that everything is in place for their trek to America’s Home Track. Eagle Raceway, known as the fastest 1/3 mile in the world, is pleased to be able to host the best Racesaver teams in the country as well as the fans who make the yearly trek to the largest sprint car race in the world.
Last year saw 117 different competitors, and this year should meet or beat that number! Can we get to 130 or more? The pre-entries are already coming in, and it’s quite possible that we’ll see at least that many, or a lot more because the changes to this year’s format have made it even more attractive to all of the teams.
There are plenty of activities throughout the weekend to add to the fantastic racing on the high banks. Set up your spot in Eagle Raceway’s campground and then race, camp and repeat for 3 fabulous days. Don’t miss out on the live bands and DJs, race replays, discounted drinks at the Famous Melon Tiki Bar and plenty of other fun in the pits after the races each night. Make sure you either sign up your team for the Dodgeball tournament on Sunday that benefits JDRF or at least come to cheer on your favorite driver. Visit drivers for autographs, check out their cars or even pick up a t-shirt at the drivers autograph session and car show on Sunday before the races. Visit www.racesaver.com for the full schedule of events.
Kyle McCutcheon outdueled 54 other drivers to take home the big prize in 2013. There were 73 cars there when Jack Dover won the Sunday finale in 2014, and he came from 19th to do it. John Carney II came out on top in 2015 when a total of 89 teams competed. And Jack Dover won the Big Show last year topping 116 other Racesaver teams.
The action starts on Thursday August 31st with a practice night, continues with preliminary qualifying nights Friday and Saturday and finishes up on Sunday September 3rd when the best 27 Racesaver teams in the country line up 3-wide in the A Feature to battle for the crown.
Who will take home the $2,500 top prize this year, and how many racers will tow through the pit gates? You’d better come out and see for yourself!!!
So; what’s your Labor Day weekend look like? Got plans? If they don’t involve coming to our little slice of sprint car heaven between Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska then you’d better be changing them.
