Leraas takes VSS race at Natural Bridge Speedway

Virginia Sprint Series
Race #12 Saturday June 25th 2016
IMCA RaceSaver Mid-Atlantic Division Natural Bridge Speedway Natural Bridge Va.
Lucky 7’s Run Wild at the Bridge
It really paid to have the number seven on your sprinter at Natural Bridge Saturday night as Mike Leraas in his seventy seven and Troy Severin in his seven had the field covered. Glenn Worrell and Mike Leraas won the heats on the clear warm night before it was off to the feature. Mike Leraas and Tony Harris lead the field to green with Harris out first and Leraas right behind. Harris lead until lap four when Leraas moved by and went to the high side and was really making time leaving Harris to fight with Severin. Severin got by on lap eight and went after Harris. They both were pulling away as Tom Humphries made his way to third, he tried to get by Severin a couple times but the number seven cars were good up high and they both stayed smooth and fast all the way to the checkered flag. This was Mike Leraas’s first win with the Virginia Sprint Series. At the line it was Mike Leraas, Troy Severin, Tom Humphries, Daren Bolac, Brian Lawson, Anthony Linkenhoker, Glenn Worrell, Tony Harris, Jerald Harris, JD Coats, Bill Rice, James Snead, Josh Perreault, Ed Mesaros and Ron Moyers.
The summer break will kick in before its back to Eastside Speedway in Waynesboro, Va. on Saturday night July 16th.
