Although several of the big sprint car races around the country have been forced to cancel for this year, nothing is going to put a halt to the IMCA Sprint Car Racesaver Nationals powered by Sunbelt Rentals! Yes, the biggest IMCA sprint car event in the world in 2020 will be held again at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, NE this year over a 4-day span of the Labor Day Weekend.
Teams and fans from all over the country will be making the trip to the high banks of America’s Home Track, Eagle Raceway this September 3rd through the 6th for a fabulous time over those 4 days. It’s not just the racing on the world’s fastest 1/3 mile, it’s the whole event. There are plenty of things to keep you busy throughout the weekend including the annual Dodgeball Tournament to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund on Sunday afternoon.
Thursday the 3rd begins pre-tech inspection. It also includes an Open House practice night as well as the qualifying heats for the Jake Ita Memorial Race of Champions. Following those heats the pit party begins with a DJ and karaoke. The Melon Bar will be open until 1 AM. Grandstand tickets are just $3 for those 13 and up. Pit passes are only $15.
Friday the 4th racing action kicks off in earnest. All cars will be competing in heats and features to set the first 3 rows for Sunday’s Big Dance. Doctor Danger will be there to present his heart pumping, hair singeing stunts during intermissions. After the final checkered flag of the evening there will be live entertainment for the pit party and the Melon Bar will remain open until 2 AM. Front gate prices are $15 for adults, $5 for youths 6-12 and children 5 and under are free. Pit passes are $30.
Saturday the 5th gives those racers who haven’t qualified yet for the Sunday A Main a chance to snag their spot in rows 4 through 6. Again, all non-qualifiers will compete in heats and features. The Jake Ita Memorial Race of Champions will also be contested. Doctor Danger will be there to entertain you during intermissions. Sunday the 6th is Big Dance Day!! Racers who haven’t yet done so will have their chance to lock into the final 3 rows of the A Main through Last Chance Qualifying features. The racing concludes with one of the most exciting finales in all of sprint car racing; the 3-wide start of the 30 lap Main Event! Following the final checkered flag of the weekend the pit party will have Jacked providing the entertainment and the Melon Bar will be dispensing refreshments until 2 AM. Front gate prices are $20 for adults, $5 for youths 6-12 and children 5 and under are free. Pit passes are $30.
Who will be able to add the title Champion of the 2020 IMCA Sprint Car Racesaver Nationals powered by Sunbelt Rentals? Will you be there to experience it? You should, because if 27 cars hurtling around the 1/3 bullring for the championship belt and top prize of $2500 isn’t enough to get your blood pumping full bore, you cannot call yourself a race car fan!
For you drivers, you can pre-register for just $15 if you get your registration in by August 24th. After that date registration will be $100. That fee gets you a reserved pit stall for Friday through Sunday. If you want to have the same pit stall that you did last year you must register by August 1st. Eagle Raceway offers plenty of camping space for race fans wishing to spend the weekend of RaceSaver Nationals℠ at the facility. Reserved Camping spots on the West End of the Main Parking Lot with 30AMP Electrical Hookups are available for $150 which includes the whole weekend stay Thursday-Monday. If you had a camping spot in 2019 and would like that same spot, you must order and pay for camping by July 15th. Reserved Camping Spaces are reserved on a first reserve basis after July 15th and must be reserved by Monday, August 24th 2020. Otherwise, camping WITHOUT electrical hookups (NOT RESERVED) is always free in specified areas. Shower rooms will be available in the Pit Garage FREE of Charge Thursday-Sunday from 9AM-3PM. Breakfast is served from 9:30AM-11AM Friday-Sunday in the Pit Concession.
