RaceSaver(R) Nationals news

The 2011 RaceSaver Nationals will be held at Fork Mountain Raceway , 150 Raceway Drive, Bassett VA on September 2 & 3.   RaceSaver(R) Sprint Cars from 10 regions representing 7 States will bring the best of  Sprint car Racing to Virginia. Also competing will be the US Legends Modifieds, and the Good Ole Boys Vintage cars.  Already entered are regional qualifing winners from each region. In additiion former modified stars Satch Worley and Ray Evernham have been racing in the RaceSaver(R) series and are entered in the Nationals.

Schedule of events:  Tech inspection will begin @ 7:00 AM Friday and end @ 3:00 PM.   All Cars must be inspected before going on track. Conditions permitting, there will be a practice session on Friday evening.  Our traditional free picnic wil be served. Saturday morning our traditional free breakfast will be served from 8:00 to 10:00 AM. Spectator gates open @ 4:00 PM.  Warm ups @ 6:00 PM

EconoLodge of Martinsville, 1755 Virginia Ave. Martinsville VA 24112 will be the host motel.  Double occupancy room, pool, lounge, breakfast, $55.00 per night. Motel is 7 miles from track.  Phone 276-632-5611  Mention Fork Mountain Raceway, RaceSaver(R) Nationals to get  special rate.

There will be NO wing angle rule. This change for the Nationals will be reflected in  the upcoming 2012 rules.

Friday practice: Pit pass $10  car & driver $25  All persons must have pit pass and sign release waivers.

Saturday Admission: $10 adults, children under 12 free, active military w/ ID free,    Pit pass $25
